Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research
– Essay Contest Result –
The Prince Takamado Japan Centre awarded two essay prizes (2000
words) to the best student presentations on Japanese games. These have a value
of $500 CAD each.
The prizes have been awarded to:
- Ms. Homeira Baghbanmoshiri (PhD student, Kobe University, Japan)
Title: “Analyzing the “cultural identity” of the game: through the comparison between The Witcher and Final Fantasy game series”; - Mr. Nökkvi Jarl Bjarnason (PhD student, University of Iceland, Iceland)
Title: “Japan and the Rise of National Game Studies”
